He was a graduate of Rancho Cotate High School, class of 1973. He accomplished his lifelong dream of becoming a firefighter when he became employed by the Maple Valley Fire Department in Washington State, and served as president of the local chapter of the International Association of Firefighters. He also leaves his cherished daughters, Kimberly Dunn (Ryan) of Sacramento, Kelli Bohanan (Tom) of Santa Rosa, and Michelle Brog of Rocklin. He was the dear brother of Kenneth Brog (Linda) of Rohnert Park, and Carole Bernheim (George) of Windsor. He was the adored grandfather of Ashlee, Nolan, and Haidyn Dunn, and Lyndon Bohanan. He leaves his nieces, Kari Ann Brog and Amberlee Lewis (Michael); nephew, George R. Bernheim (Adrian); and his great-nephews Mario and Tanner, and great-niece Gracie. He was the loving son-in-law of David and Barbara Ramsey of Oregon, and brother-in-law of David and Jeff Ramsey. He leaves his dear aunt and uncle, Lorraine and Frank Castelli, his uncle Bob Brog, and his cousins Karen Hanahan (Ralph) and Frank Castelli (Laura). Hi Lana. I am very very late in the passing of Jim. I can´t imagine your heart ache. I knew of him way back in the mid 80´s when I worked at the Portland airport and he would rent a car when he was traveling. I have read the messages from others and they all mentioned his smile, how kind he was, his devotion to life itself. He was all that. You could always depend on him & his support. It sounds like you guys made lots of wonderful memories and accomplished many goals. His life was shortened was too soon. Blessing to you and your family

Jim, I will forever remember you as the smiling, fun-loving guy on the Harley supporting every step we girls took on the 3-Day Walk. The thought of you at the next pit stop with your big grin and an "atta girl" inspired us to push even harder to the next goal. You made quite an impression on me and you will be greatly missed. I so appreciate your Lana for sharing you with all of us over the years! Our lives are richer because of knowing you.

Jim seemed to live life to the fullest. It saddens me that he couldn't continue on his quest. He will be missed by many.

Liam always loved the way Jim would walk in & just grab him & turn him upside down or throw him over his shoulder. The way they would both burst out laughing was a great thing to hear. Jim was loved and appreciated more than he ever knew, and will be missed. We will do everything we can to support Lana.

My thoughts and prayers are for you Lana and Jim's family in this time of sorrow. I will have fond memories of Jim riding his motorcycle along side us as we walked 60 miles for breast cancer, his love and support was just amazing and he will never be forgotten.

Jim's love and devotion to Lana was a source of admiration and inspiration to me. He was a kind and loving man, generous and always willing to be the person who was there for you. Jim, I will always remember your mischievious grin and laughter, your warmth and your spirit. You will be deeply missed.

You always brightened a room when you entered and we loved it! Your dedication to Lana during the 3 day and all her training made many a lady jealous -- you rocked. We'll miss you greatly and we'll be here to continue to support Lana through this incredibly difficult time.

Jim was my former nephew-in-law and although we didn't see him that often, when they visited us in Los Angeles we always had a great time. I thank Jim for helping bring my two beautiful nieces into this world and for that I shall always be grateful. May you rest in peace.

Take comfort in knowing that Jim is watching over you. I wish he had a chance to make it to our class reunion a few months ago. I think the last time I saw Jim was about 35 years ago. Thank you, JIM for your service to the people in Washington.

I am at a loss for words when someone I knew, so young, passes away. I didn't realize Jim had lived in Washington State. I myself live in Tacoma and have for over 30 years and also work in the building industry. We were probably less than 30 min apart many times. We probably have many mutual aquaintances and I'll always regret not having the chance to say hi. May God rest his soul.

It came as a great shock when I learned of Jim's sudden death. We had been friends since childhood and I miss him greatly. I will forever hold onto all the memories. To his family; you are in our love and prayers, may God comfort your hearts.

I want to say how saddened we were by the news of Uncle Jimmy's passing. He was a wonderful man who my family enjoyed dearly spending time with. To my children he was the Uncle who talked like Donald Duck and my oldest son Mario was his "Goomba". He had a wonderful family who loved him very much and he will be greatly missed by all.
