James A Brown of Gastonia NC and formally of Whitney Point and Cincinnatus NY went to join his family in heaven on Friday May 30, 2025 at the age of 86.

He was preceded in death by his parents Hazel and Ersel Brown, his sister Gladys and brother Harold.

He is survived by his long-time companion Nancy Anderson of Gastonia, NC , his children Josh (Meryl) Brown of Highland NY, his twin daughters Becki (Gary) Morano of Poughkeepsie, NY, Bobbi (Greg) Badger of Chenango Forks, NY and Chad (Tracey) Wright of Charlotte NC. Also surviving are his grandchildren Andy (Megan) Mras Lisle NY, Jessie Mras and Kirk Mohr of Lisle NY, Ryan Brown of Glenwood Springs CO and Sarah (Robert) Cabral of Rochester. He had 5 great-grandchildren, Peyton, Hayden and Teagan Mras , Nellie Mohr and Artie Cabral along with nieces, cousins and many close friends.

He was a graduate of Whitney Point Central School. In his younger days, Jim was an avid hunter, fisherman and bowler. He enjoyed spending time outdoors with his family and visiting with friends around a fire. He was employed for many years by Brown's Trailer Sales and Penningroth Farm Supply. After moving to NC in 1996, he worked for Young RV Sales and later for the Charlotte NC School district driving school bus. Selling RV's was his passion and he had a great memory for remembering customers names and what RV they had bought.

He was a member of the Queen of the Apostles R.C. Church in Belmont NC.

In lieu of flowers , please make a donation to the charity of one's choice or send flowers to a nursing home or senior center near you where they can be enjoyed.

Though his physical presence will be deeply missed, our love for him will remain in our hearts until we meet again.
