James "Jimmy" Brownlee

James "Jimmy" Brownlee WARE SHOALS -- James L. "Jimmy" Brownlee, 66, husband of Delia "Dede" Ackerson Brownlee, of 228 Turkey Creek Drive, died Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Self Regional Hospital. Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Otis Lindon and Mattie Sue Henderson Brownlee. He was of the Baptist Faith and was a Veteran of the U. S. Navy Seabees, Vietnam War. He was retired from ASI of Ware Shoals. Surviving are his wife of the home, a son, James Alan Brownlee of Ware Shoals, a daughter, Jessica Kate Brownlee of Greenwood, two sisters, Joanne Vickery of Dalton, Ga. and Nancy Turner of Greenwood, and one grandson, Maddox Ryan McCarthy. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Harold "Buddy" Brownlee. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. Wayne Wicker officiating. The family is at the home and will receive friends after the service at the cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
