I met Jimmy in 1974 at Camp Cedar as I was a fellow counselor who had just arrived from Missouri. We immediately became fast friends and had some truly great times over the next three summers. I was able to go with Jimmy to Brookline a few times and I must have impressed someone because his dad offered me a job after one of the visits! Alas, I had to turn him down as I wanted to continue teaching which I did for 32 years. One of my fondest memories was going up to the Red & White in Casco while on break from Cedar. Lots of problems were solved during those breaks!! Jimmy also went with me to the 1976 Missouri v Ohio State football game in Columbus as he was going to Michigan at the time. Mizzou won and a grand time was had by all!! Although we didn´t stay in touch very well over the years I still considered Jimmy one of the great friends of my life. He was one of a kind and I was so lucky to have been able to call him friend.

My first memory of Jim was when he was around 7 years old and i was 18. Mac asked me to drive Him and Family to the Airport. Mac and Bobby were in the front seat and Jill, Jim, and David were in the back seat. I made sure i drove safely. Bob Murray
