James Robert "Jim Bob" Clary, 61, of Fairfield passed away in Kirvin.
He was born on May 7, 1948, in Hodge, La., to Fred and Tressie Clary.
Mr. Clary is survived by two daughters, Stacey Annette Clary and husband, Mike Killough, of Malakoff; Tonya Marie Clary and husband, James Walker, of Athens; two granddaughters, Christina and husband, Terry "TJ" Davis, of Malakoff; and Briana Walker, of Athens; four grandsons, Justin Killough Sr.; Cody Killough, both of Malakoff; Oakley Walker, of Athens; and Matthew Pate, of Buffalo; four great-grandchildren, Shane Killough; Sarah Davis; and Shawn "Eli" Davis, all of Athens; and Justin Killough Jr., of Longview. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and one great-great niece.
Mr. Clary is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Tressie Clary; two brothers, John D. Clary, Sr.; and Marion Clary; two sisters, Carolyn Click; and Mary O'Neill. He is also preceded in death by his best friend and hunting and fishing buddy, Stan Mondy.
Jim Bob worked for TP&L (now TXU) for 24 years. He worked in Tyler, Lufkin and Trinidad. He started driving a truck in 1992. Jim Bob drove four years with Tech Serv in Tyler. In 2005, he started driving for Stallion Production Services, in Dew.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking out for his friends and family and spending time with them.
He graduated from Chapel Hill High School in 1967. Mr. Clary served his country as a United States Air Force Sgt. from August of 1969 to July of 1973. He was a NRA lifetime member, and a member of VFW Post #4133, in Trinidad, and VFW Post #5872, in Fairfield.
Family will receive visitors on Thursday at Tomlinson Funeral Home, Malakoff from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
A funeral service will be held on Friday at Tomlinson Funeral Home, Malakoff at 2 p.m.
Internment will follow in Post Oak Cemetery, in Malakoff under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home, Malakoff.
Pallbearers will be Justin Killough, Sr., Oakley Walker, Cody Killough, Jerry McCool, Robert Booker, James Walker and Mike Killough.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Fitzhugh, Terry Kelm and James Cotten.

My deepest condolences to the Clary family. I considered Jim Bob one of my dearest friends, he always seemed to be there for me when I was in need of a hug and a smile, I loved him, and will miss him ... may he RIP , knowing he was so loved and will be missed by so many ....

Stacey & Tanya - My deepest sympathy on your loss. We will miss Jim Bob, but he is in a better place with his best friend and I know they are having the best time about now....My prayers are with you and your families.

Jim Bob you are going to be missed, I am so sadden with this news!! I have great memories of you with Stan, Jason, Justin and my brother Michael Mathews at the camphouse on Jasper!!! My condolences to the family. He was a great man!!!
