James Conrady Obituary

James Elwyn Conrady of Greeley died Friday, June 24, 2011 at North Colorado Medical Center Hospice Unit. He was born May 15, 1920 In Morrison, Illinois to Lester C. and Vera (James) Conrady. He attended the James School in Whiteside County, Illinois through 8th grade.
On July 27, 1948 he married Dorothy Margaret Wood in Morrison, Illinois. On January 1, 1965 he married Gladys Mothershed in Greeley.
James worked on the family farm until moving to Nebraska. He then moved to Colorado where he was a self employed carpenter.
He is survived by his daughters Carol (Ed) Baker of Mohave City, Arizona and Vickie Malone of Ogallala, Nebraska; sisters, Virginia (Roy) Miller of North Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Bernita Forth of Morrison, Illinois; 5 grandchildren, Lara (Clayton) Hall, Jeremy Mason, Troy (Amber) Malone, Megan (Beau) Johnson, and Jamie Malone; 5 great-grandchildren, Rebecka (Garnett) Spiers, Clayton Hall II, Naomi Hall, Trent Addison, Aubree Malone and Landon Dillenburg; 1 great-great-grandchild, Braxton Spiers and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Lester C. and Vera James Conrady; wife Gladys, companion Doris Early and brother-in-law Donald Forth.
Graveside service 2 p.m. Friday at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northern Colorado, in care of Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 W. 28th St., Greeley, CO 80634.
