James W. Creelman, 69, passed away September 27, 2021 at UMass Memorial Medical Center with his loving wife by his side. He will now be sharing a heavenly birthday with his granddaughter, Katherine McCrillis. James was born on June 1, 1952 son of Donna (White) and Warren Creelman in Worcester. He was a lifelong resident of Auburn, MA. After attending Auburn High School, he received an Associate's Degree from Quinsigamond Community College in psychology, followed by another in Respiratory Therapy. James met the love of his life, Patricia, at Worcester City Hospital while they were both working there early in their careers as Nurse and Respiratory Therapist, respectively. They later married and celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary this past summer. James went on to work at many local hospitals and home care agencies throughout his career. Following his retirement four years ago, Jim most enjoyed spending time with his three children, seven grandchildren, twenty nieces and nephews, and numerous other friends and extended family members. James will be missed by many including his beloved wife, Patricia (Carey) Creelman; his children, Joshua Creelman, his wife Andrea, and their children Laina, James, and Juliet Creelman of West Boylston, Meghan McCrillis, her husband Marc, and their children Katherine, Matthew, and David McCrillis of Auburn, Sarah Creelman and her son Jacob Rovezzi of Auburn. He also leaves his brother, Joel and sister in law Karen and his other sister in law Sharon. He was predeceased by his parents, Warren and Donna Creelman and his brother, John Creelman. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jim's life with visiting hours on Thursday, September 30th from 4 until 7PM at The Callahan, Fay & Caswell Life Celebration Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, October 1st at 10AM at North American Martyrs Church, 8 Wyoma Dr., Auburn. Burial will immediately follow in Hillside Cemetery, 65 Central Street, Auburn. During his final months, Jim received wonderful care from the providers and nurses at both Dana Farber Cancer Institute and UMass Memorial Medical Center. His family will be eternally grateful for the compassionate and comprehensive care that was delivered to him during the last weeks and days of his life.

Pray for each neighbor by their name. Pray that your neighbors and residents of the neighborhood will know that we care more deeply in their lives and have the opportunity to flourish as a community.
God, we ask for a flourishing community, where neighbors learn to love each other and come to know one another. We pray that we can be good stewards of Your love to each one of our neighbors. We ask that You help us to learn from our community, and it may be a place where all are welcomed.

My deepest love and sympathy to Pat, Josh, Meghan, and Sarah, their children, Jim's brother, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law, and countless friends for this loss.

Jim was such an integral part of the family. He could go toe-to-toe with anyone with his ready wit. He was kind. He was a family man. But utmost, he loved his wife, my cousin Pat, (and she, him).

I will miss him at family functions where he would look on amused on the sidelines, then say something to leave us all in laughter.

Jim was a fine man. He will be missed. We are the lesser for his loss.

Dear Creelman Family, I am so very sorry to hear about your loss. I went to Auburn High School with Jim. We played baseball and soccer together. His teammates spoke very fondly of him last Saturday night at our 50th Class Reunion. Jim was tough as nails behind the plate playing catcher on our JV baseball team. And he was the perfect teammate on both the baseball and soccer teams back then. I know everyone would agree. Rugged yet light-hearted, friendly to all, funny, passionate, dedicated. We will never forget him. May you rest In Peace, Jim.
