Jim D'Arcy was born in Jackson, Michigan, on July 12, 1936, and left his earthly home on his 82nd birthday, July 12, 2018, in Pasadena, Texas.
Jim, a Naval Reservist, was outstanding with electronics and spent his working years as an electrical technician with both Western Union and NASA. He always enjoyed repairing all kinds of electronics in his spare time.
Jim was one who believed in always thinking positive and who enjoyed working puzzles, grilling and, mostly, spending time with family and friends. He was also still proud to have been the record holder in pole vaulting for seven straight years in high school.
Jim is predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Betty D'Arcy and his parents Merlin Wellington D'Arcy and Jessie Elizabeth D'Arcy. He is survived by his sons Jimmy D'Arcy and wife Bobby, Rod Huffaker and wife Teresa and his daughters Kathy Kyzer and fiancé Oscar Mendoza and Susan D'Arcy. He will be missed by his grandchildren Angela Smith, Scott Huffaker and wife Katie, Derek D'Arcy and wife Denise, Dustin D'Arcy and wife Carly, Klay Kyzer, Brooke Binder and husband David, Kaleb Kyzer and wife Stephanie, Kassandra Fontenot and husband Barrik, and Jessica Morales; great grandchildren Victoria, Logan and Zoey Smith; Cohen, Cody and Morgan Huffaker; Emma, Elise and Ethan D'Arcy; Penelope, Bear and Juniper Binder; Noah and Kaylee Kyzer; Beau, Levi, Ellie and Tripp Fontenot; and by his brother Col. (Ret.) Gerald P. D'Arcy, PhD and wife Dorothy. Jim will be remembered and missed by many additional loving family members and friends.

May the family accept my condolences during this difficult time. May you find comfort in the assurance given at 2 Thessalonians 3:16, that the Lord of peace himself can provide you with what you need to cope with your loss of James D'Arcy.
