"BIG" Jim Davis is the teacher I think of most when I think back on my school years. He allowed for a more than a teacher/student relationship which made his history classes at Pickerington HS the most anticipated of the day. I'm sure he will see this so you are remembered Mr Davis, fondly!

I have searched for Jim Davis for years.I graduated from Pickerington High School in 1971.He was my favorite teacher in American history,Geography and Psychology.
I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing. We spent so much time talking after class and school. Because of his guidance,I graduated from Otterbein University with a degree in Psychology and Sociology with a minor in history.
I will always remember him,not only as a teacher but a valued friend.

Jim was such a wonderful man. He loved Sue, their daughters, and their many grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew him. I´m very sorry for your loss.

I am a 1995 Graduate from Heath High School and Mr. Davis was my guidance counselor during those school years. He knew my mother who is now also a retired educator from Lakewood School District. So I had to always be on my best behavior or he would tell my mother for sure... Hahaha! During high school I remember him encouraging me to go to the then LCJVS for medical assisting then work towards my nursing after HS, since I was not prepared academically to be an actual Doctor or go to medical school. He always said that it would have many positive benefits for me in life and fit my personality. Even though I have struggled academically through the years today I am a Licensed Practical Nurse working on my Registered Nursing degree and will eventually seek my Nurse Practitioner degree. I have thought of Mr Davis through the years and will Always have him to thank for installing short and long term goals to further my education and career no matter what life brings you. I pray that he is at peace and sending my prayers and condolences to his family.
