James Edward Dougherty

I send my deepest condolences to the Dougherty family. My late husband, David Beckman, was a close and longtime friend of Jim's. We had the pleasure of visiting with Jim and Betty 10 years ago. My dear David died in 2010 and Jim flew from their summer hideaway in Washington state to attend David's Funeral at Arlington National Cemetery. Jim was a dear friend and mentor to David during their military careers. I send my heartfelt sympathy to your family.

My family and I feel so lucky to have had such a fun and wonderful Papa in our lives. It's been a great run with Jim and Betty. We made many, many wonderful memories. Katherine and Jeff miss their Papa dearly and I miss my very good friend.

Aunt Betty, cousins Mark, Joy, Leigh and Brian, I will be thinking about you all Saturday. I loved Uncle Jim and all of you even though we have seen each other just a few times in our lifetime.
