James DOWIE Obituary
With family by his side, on November 3, 2017 at 72 years of age. Beloved husband of 43 years to Mary Jo "Dody" (nee Mahoney). Loving father to Jim (Sarah), and Andrew. Cherished Pip to Marshall and Bryce. Dear son of Margaret Hartos and the late George and the late Charles Dowie. Treasured grandson of the late Hazel and James Newham, and the late Charles Frederick all of Merlin. Brother of John (Christine), late Tammy, Arlene, Stuart, and Linda. Brother- in-law of Pat (Sandy), Maureen (Dave), and Greg (Dorothy). Fun-loving uncle of many nieces and nephews. Jim enjoyed the company of his many loyal and close friends. Jim served as the long time District Manager for Southwestern Ontario at Cunningham Lindsey Claims Services and was part of the founding family of Rochester Place Resort. Special thanks to the staff at WRH-MET and to Dr. Hamm for her enduring efforts and care. If you so desire, donations to the Windsor & Essex County Cancer Centre Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Memorial visitation Tuesday 9 a.m. until time of Memorial Service at 12:00 p.m. at

I was so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I wish I was able to attend the funeral as Jim was a good friend. I will be thinking of your family. May Jim rest in peace.
