James "Jim" Robert Dulas, age 82, of Wells, MN, died Tuesday, October 2, 2012, at St. Luke's Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth, MN. Memorial services will be held Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 10:00 AM at St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Father Thomas Niehaus will officiate and burial will take place in St. Casimir Catholic Cemetery in Wells, MN, with Military Honors by the Wells Color Guard. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells is in charge of arrangements. James was born August 26, 1930 in Wells, MN, the son of Joe and Mabel (Tillmoney) Dulas. He attended Wells High School. On October 3, 1957, he was united in marriage to Jean LaVaye (Zoller) in Wells. Jim was in the US Army and was honorably discharged. He retired from Del Monte Corporation in Wells after 37 dedicated years of service. He was a member of St. Casimir Catholic Church in Wells, and a 50 + year member of the Wells American Legion Post. Jim was extremely proud of his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved watching their activities. Jim enjoyed coin collecting, fishing, bird watching, and was an avid gardener. He was a huge Minnesota Vikings and Twins fan. James is survived by 2 children: Paula Dulas of Eagan, and Bob (Lisa) Dulas of Blue Earth; 3 grandchildren: Josh (Loni) Dulas of Wells, Matthew Dulas (special friend Hope) of Blue Earth, and Adrianna Dulas of Blue Earth; 2 great-grandchildren: Rylee Dulas and Talon Dulas of Wells; brother: David (Dorothy) Dulas of Bloomington; sisters: Jeanette (John) Peterman of Medford, OR; Kathy (Stan) Boik of Downey, CA, mother-in-law: Evelyn Zoller of St. Peter; sisters-in-law: Cleone Dulas of Albert Lea, Shirley Dulas of Wisconsin, Mary (Shorty) Haus of Sleepy Eye, Geraldine Zabel of St. Peter, brother-in-law: Clayton Kruger of Walters. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Jean; 3 brothers: Philip, Don and Richard; 3 sisters: Louise Tolzmann, Mary VanRossum and Corrine Kruger; brother-in-law: Wayne Zabel.
