James "Jay" A. Farmer 42, of Kokomo passed away at 11:33pm Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Community Howard Hospital. Jay was born June 21, 1970 in Kokomo to Rickie A. Farmer and Bonita L. LaMar. His father preceded him in death. Jay loved Karate, enjoyed playing video games, dancing, being around family and friends and loved to make people laugh. He enjoyed helping friends and family with his construction skills. Survivors include his son; Ridge P. Farmer, mother and Step-father; Bonita L. and Gene LaMar, a second step-father Bob Frazier, six sisters; Robbin A. Akers, (Bob), Linda J. Wilson, (Rick), Peggy S. Arnold, (Jay), Angie L. Padfield, (Shawn), Bobbie J. and Billie J. Frazier, several nieces, nephews, and cousins, Paternal grandma Mary Lou Frye, (James), two aunts; Debbie Sipes, (Rick), and Nancy Farmer, one uncle Bob Gibbs, and his best friend Tyler Jones. He was preceded in death by his father Rickie A. Farmer, Chace A. Warnock, who he raised as a son, an uncle Nick Farmer, a Maternal grandma Betty Underwood. Visitation will be from 12pm – 2pm Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 South Webster St. Services will follow at 2pm also at the mortuary with Dr. James Frazier officiating. Burial will be in Albright Cemetery. Memorial in James memory may be made to the Farmer family in care of Ellers Mortuary. Envelopes will be provided.
