Funeral Services for Mr. James E. Fine, 82 of Shelton Grove Community will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 15, 2011 at Shelton Grove Baptist Church. His body will lie in state 1 hour prior to the service, with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Mr. Fine died Friday, May 13, at his residence. He was born November 27, 1928 in Campbell Co., TN to Edward V. and Myrtle Smith Fine. He was a former Pastor of Edgewood Baptist Church, retired machinist with 30 years of service from Americold Compressor, Past President of the Dodge City Lions Club 2005 – 2007. He loved to play his bass fiddle with the Senior Spirit Singers, loved bluegrass gospel music, and to farm and grow watermelons that he gave to neighbors and family.
James was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Frank Fine and Paul Fine, and one nephew Jerry Fine.
Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Kathleen Fine; a Daughter, Janice (Billy) Cason; four Sons, Brady (Judy) Fine of Hanceville, Bobby Fine of Hartselle, Kenneth (Lisa) Fine of Birmingham and Tim (Marlene) Fine of Bremen; 17 Grandchildren; 26 Great-Grandchildren and 1 – Great-Great-Grandchild; one Sister, Daphine (Walt) Gingrich of Cullman; and a host of Nieces and Nephews who loved him very much and his beloved dog Missy.
Pallbearers are David Fine, Lewis Shelton, Phillip McSwain, Mark Shelton, Danny Whatley, Delana Fine; Honorary Pallbearers are Lyndon Shelton, Barry Walling and Brian Cordes.
Visitation will be held Saturday, May 14, 2011 at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
