I am so sorry for your loss.
My path crossed with Freds 3 times as I recall.
For the 1st year I had my drivers license, I was one of Freds customers at Sabans Gas station in those days of full service and 35 cent per gallon of gas. In the mid to late 1980s, he laid the tile at our front door based on the recommendation to my husband from the business where we purchased the tile. So when Fred showed up, we realized our prior connection and shared our memories. But what was so special to me was when Fred recognized me on the river in the summer of 2017. He made a point to stop and talk with me and express his condolences to me and to state we will make sure your grass here is taken care of - dont worry about it.
I was so touched and so appreciated Cherie getting my attention that day. And of course, Fred and Kip did see to my grass. What a special person! My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Cherie I am so sorry to hear of your loss of Fred. I have known Fred for 44 yrs and remember his concerns and work for us in the company and the union work he did. Strikes were difficult but he lead us through them with confidence. He was a good friend and co-worker. He has fought the fight and now he is free from pain and this world. God bless him and your family. Over the sunset mountain, today he will softly go. Into the arms of Jesus, the one who loves his so. Peace.
