James D. Gilliland, 77, of Amity, left his wife and children to be with God on January 1, 2015. He was born on June 5, 1937, in Minco, OK, to the late Clarence and Mary (English) Gilliland.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Martha Sue (Hampton) Gilliland, great-granddaughters Libby Ann Hunter and Brianna Solis, and his sister Katherine Adams.
He is survived by his loving wife Evelyn, son Billy (Tamara) Gilliland, daughters Peggy Lambert and Jamie (Bobby) King, stepson Randy Phillips, stepdaughters Donna Leming and Sheryl Asher, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and brother Wilbert (Uncle) Gilliland.
Pallbearers will be Chase Hunter, Robby King, Justin Lambert, Matt Ellis, Bill Hanna, and Chad King.
Honorary pallbearers are Arkansas Hospice, Dr. Martin Koehn, Dr. William Cole, Matt Wilson, and One Shot Hunting Club.
