James Hardy

King James Rashad "Young Lite" Hardy passed away on August 11, 2025, in Yonkers, New York. He was 41 years old.

Born on January 1, 1984, in New Rochelle, New York, James brought a vibrant energy into the world that remained with him throughout his life. He blended talent and ambition to forge a path uniquely his own.

James was a dynamic entrepreneur and the co-founder of Hardy Empire with his wife Crystal and founder of Mental Drip-ventures that reflected his creative vision and passion for self-expression. As a published author, he made a lasting impact through his writing. His book *Take Money Boys* earned Book of the Year honors, while *TTG: The Take Over Gang* was named Book of the Month, showcasing his storytelling talent and drive to inspire.

A homeowner and artist at heart, James found joy in music and writing. Whether composing lyrics or crafting compelling narratives, he poured his soul into every project. His humor, work ethic, and creativity left an impression on all who knew him.

James is lovingly remembered by his wife, Crystal Hardy, and their son, Carlos "Young Los" Garcia-Hardy. He also leaves behind his father, Eric Cleveland Brown Sr; siblings Erica Brown, Jessica Hardy, Michael Hardy, Christopher Bullock, Terell "Ruga Rell" Lucas, and Preston "P-Nut" Hardy.

He shared special bonds with Tangi Sobers, whom he considered a second mom; his aunt Joanne Hardy; and cousins Mercedes "Sadie" Hardy, Latoria "Mamas" Hardy, and Autumn Sobers. His nephews Mikey Jr., Christain, Bentley, T-Jai, Zaire, and Baby Chuck will carry forward cherished memories of their uncle. Many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and loved ones mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Hardy and brother Eric Brown Jr.

A funeral service honoring James's life was held on August 22, 2025, in Mount Vernon, New York.
