JW, How lucky I am to have loved someone who is so hard to say goodbye to....
February 9, 2012
I think of J.W. every day, especially when I look at Brandon and Christine. His passing was a shock to all of us. I am, however, soooo grateful for the week we had him with us. He seemed so happy and he never stopped talking! And, yes, we all laughed at his corny jokes/comments, though I admit he did have a good sense of humor. He nsisted on feeding all of us Texas 'grub' every night he was here While everything was delicious, we all gained 20 lbs. that week. I know he was saddened when the time came for him to return to Texas. I will always treasure the week he was here. I thank God he decided to make the trip. I hope it gives you peace and comfort knowing it was a great visit for everyone. He will be sorely missed. I'm sure you love the pictures Christine sent you recently. He loved his boy and Brandon will have happy memories [we all will]. Everyone, and I mean everyone, had a wonderful, wonderful time. I also want all of to know we have several pictures of him through out the house, and Brandon has the flag he received hanging in his bedroom. He wrote on it "MY DAD.'
---Barbara [Brandon's grandmother)
He was very proud that his family was with him to celebrate his birthday that fell on 10-10-10.

Granny, Diane, Anita and the rest of our Texas family, we are all missing JW. We cry, we laugh, we share corny things JW said and did. As you, we feel cheated of the future...But so GRATEFUL of the time we all shared in October. many laughs, hugs and love. Jw brought us all together and together we will heal a day at a time. I'm grateful he gave me the best gift from God, our son Brandon. We love all of you. Love Christine, Brandon and the Moriarty family.
