James Howard Obituary
James C. Howard, of Rockford departed this earthly life June 2, 2021. He was born April 21, 1940 in Brownsville, TN the son of James and Doris Howard. James lived in Rockford since the early 1960’s coming from Brownsville. He married the former Mary Maclin April 26, 1958, she preceded him in death. James was a member of True Vine Missionary Baptist Church. He was a former member of the Kings of Harmony Quartet Group. He attended school in Brownsville.
James leaves to cherish many loving memories, daughter, Joy Howard; five sons, Fred (Barb) Howard, Elliott Howard, Daryl Howard, Marcus Howard and Joseph Daniels; 17 grandchildren a host of great grandchildren; sister, Viola Anthony; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents; wife; grandson, Cameron Howard; brother Robert Howard; and two sisters, Doris White and Lillie Bonds.
Memorial will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday June 12, 2021 at Levings Lake Park. 1420 S. Pierpont Ave.
