Dear Janice and family, I was in Illinois with my daughter Elise when Jim passed away. I would love to have attended the funeral. You and Jim are great people and a devoted team, and it's hard to get used to not having someone you love so much not physically with you. I always enjoyed working with you and appreciated your very positive attitude. May the Lord continue to bless and comfort you. Love, Carma

Dear Ivie Family,

The wonderful memories of your family along with the Orem 9th Ward, always brings a smile to our faces. We were all so blessed to live in a neighborhood with so many good people that guided us in our growing years.

Jim and Janice continued that same love and support to the neighborhood when they moved into their home on the corner of Beverly. What great examples the Ivie family is to so many.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. May your memories bring you comfort.

Janice, Jason, Jeffrey and Jill (and Charlie): Words can't express our sorrow at your great loss. It is bittersweet--a blessing for Jim and a closure for you all; but still so very, very hard to let go and say goodbye. We are sorry that your family has had to experience this loss which has been so difficult and such a long time coming. It isn't fair and isn't what anyone would have wished for. We hope that you can feel comfort in the love of so many family members and friends. We remember Jim as a giving, talented, capable man with a twinkle in his eye and a kind word for everyone. There wasn't anything he couldn't fix. Remember all the things he built for us at WIC! And he loved his family so dearly. It was a blessing to know him and to have been influenced by him. You have our sympathy, prayers and love. God bless you all, Much love.

Dear Ivie Family,

It has been many years since I have seen many of you but that has not let me forget the great days of growing up in the old 9th ward. I remmber fondly the times playing flag footbal up on Beverly Avenue. Jimmy was a blast to play with and could throw the ball like no other. I was saddened to read of his passing. God bless your family during this difficult time.
