Jim Brim, 76, of Charlotte, NC, passed away on January 13, 2024, in Charlotte. He was born on January 26, 1947, in Charlotte, NC.

Jim was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was married to his best friend, Donna Brim, for 57 years. Together, they shared a deep love and companionship. Jim was a dedicated family man and cherished his time with his children, Julie Martin, Joy Benfield, Jamie Ingram and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His special bond with his grandson, Justin Brim, whom he raised with Donna with love and care.

Jim had a successful career as a warehouse manager for Ciba Geigy Pharmaceuticals, where he worked for over 40 years. His dedication and hard work were admired by his colleagues and friends.

In his free time, Jim enjoyed playing and watching sports of all kinds. He was an avid golfer, bowler, and billiards player. His competitive spirit was unmatched, and he rarely lost a game. Jim was a devoted fan of the Braves baseball team and supported the Washington Redskins, Carolina Panthers, and Charlotte Hornets.

Jim's generosity extended beyond his lifetime as he chose to be a donor to UNC Chapel Hill University.

Jim will be remembered for his loving nature, his passion for sports, and his dedication to his family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Jim is preceded in death by his father, William Harry Brim, his mother, Peggy Parker, and his sister, Debbie Barrett.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Brim, his children, Julie Martin (Darren), Joy Benfield, (Phil), Jamie Ingram, (Jamie) his grandchildren Aleigha Benfield, (Anthony), Justin Brim, (Ayla), Holly Therell, Kali Benfield, Chelsea Shute ( Josh), Ryan Benfield & Katelyn Ingram, and 14 great-grandchildren.

The family will gather privately to honor Jim's memory and celebrate his life. They find comfort in knowing that Jim is now at peace in the arms of the Lord.
