Every time I saw Jim he would relay stories of the good times at Mack Shel. He would talk fondly of Joe and Ruth (my mom and dad). Always smiling.
He was a good guy and will be missed.
May memories of good times help you through the difficult times of missing him.
Condolences,

I'm shocked and very saddened. Jim's passing has left a void that can never be filled, no matter how much time passes. Time doesn't fill or heal voids, it just makes life different without them.
The Jim I knew and grew up around was a hilarious and caring soul who seized opportunities and didn't let fear hinder his life. (Helluva canoe paddler too!) Memories from youth of adventures and wild times have now become priceless treasures that will last through eternity, the good and bad. I'm grateful that Jim will remain with all of us in spirit as our lives continue and he'll be sure to give signals, letting us know he's present and still cares.
There will be no /5th poured out for Mr. Franz oh no, On Aug.21,2022 we will pour an entire jar of White Lightning into the ground while playing Dont Mess Around With Jim' to honor the life of Jim Franz.
Nothing but Love for Ya, Jim

I had the honor of spending his last Friday with him, by a pool, having lunch, exercising in the pool, listening to his favorite songs and talking about everything. It was a wonderful 7 hours. I love my big brother and will cherish his humor and his unconditional love of friends and family! The best thing about this is he can reconnect with those who passed previously and he's missed previously.

I am so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. As a night nurse at Sisters of Charity, I ran into him only occasionally, but we also connected, if my memory serves me correctly, at Mercy Western Hills and the old Providence Hospital, years ago. He was always so welcoming and cordial when our paths crossed. I will certainly miss him waving to me as I got into my car some mornings leaving work. My prayers are with all of you, his family and close friends.

Ginny and Family, Very shocked hearing the unexpected passing of Jim. So sorry for everyone's loss. His cousin(s), some friends and I spent many days hunting with him at his Uncle Bob's farm. I have many good memories with him.
He told me not to long ago, when he was feeling down while in the hospital he would think of his happy places. His time at the farm was one of those places. I am glad I was one of those guys able spend time with him creating those memories. He touched many people and will be missed by all.
