I knew Jim enough to love and call him friend. The time I spent with Jim was short but a special treasure nonetheless. One of my favorite memories of Jim was when my wife, Janara, and I went swimming with Jim and Debbie. At one point our ladies were swimming while Jim and I sat poolside like a couple of loners (e.g., think The Outsiders minus the leather jackets, slicked back hair, and cigarettes) talking about life today, faith, marriage, his time in the service, and other things, such as The Three Stooges. I still miss and think about you, Jim. I love you, brother.

Jim was truly a great conversationalist, always listening, always asking great questions. He was a prayer warrior upon every request and focused on the needs of others. Jim will be missed!

We enjoyed all the time spent with Jim in the choir. We had lots of fun. He loved the Lord and loved serving the church and others. He was a good friend and colleague. Our hearts are broken because of this earthly loss, but we celebrate in knowing Jim is no longer in pain and is with Jesus.
