James Kargul Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 16, 2014.

Our brother, James W. Kargul of Waterbury, joined his parents Bolek and Rita Kargul, formerly of East Hartford in heaven on Wednesday February 12, 2014. He was 64. Jimmy was raised in East Hartford where he enjoyed playing baseball, football and hockey. He was a graduate of East Hartford High, Class of 1969. Throughout his life he worked at various trades including a mechanic and a property manager. He is survived by his siblings: Dennis Kargul and his wife JoAnn of Alma, CO and Marlene Sheperd and her husband Michael of South Windsor; two nieces: Melanie Sheperd and her husband Michael Kapareiko of Prospect and Nicole Kargul of Lake Ariel, PA. He also leaves his life partner, Donna Fontaine. Jimmy will be remembered for his big heart, he was always willing to give the shirt off his back to someone in need. He loved music, trips to the beach and spending time with his family including his friends Carol Murad and Peggy Osborn. Services have been entrusted to Murphy Funeral Home, Waterbury and will be private. At the request of the family, to honor Jimmy's memory, we ask you to be kind to others because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle. Thinking of you Jim and your wonderful brother Dennis and Sister Marlene. They adored their little brother and their hearts are breaking right now. You were so special. Be happy now and at rest in heaven with your Mom and Dad. I know you are finally at peace. God Bless you. Much love from one cousin that always held fond memories of you. I wish life would have allowed us to see you more as the years and circumstances separated you from us.

Marlene, Dennis and families... he always knew how much you loved him. I hope you will take comfort in knowing you were always there for him. He's much happier now.
Your cuz... Rosalie
