Longview, Texas - James Ronald Kight, affectionately known as Jim Kight, passed away on November 25, 2024, at the age of 75. Born on August 12, 1949, in Alexandria, LA to Raymond and Adelia (Williams) Kight.

Jim proudly served in the Navy during the Vietnam War, where he exemplified courage and commitment. After his military service, he transitioned to a career as a Supervisor at Kelly Tires, a position he held for 31 years. H was a proud member of various veteran organizations, Jim was active in the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), The American Legion, and Vietnam Vets of America. These affiliations reflected not only his pride in having served but also his desire to support and connect with fellow veterans.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Debbie Kight; sons, Ronald Ray Kight and Jeremy Muklewicz; brother, Frankie Lynn Kight; 3 grandchildren and 2 special nieces, Kristy Kight and Glenda (Bob) Hedrick, along with numerous relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Frank and Adelia Christiana Kight; son, Anthony Wayne "Tony" Kight; brothers, Charles Meeks Kight and Jerry Allen Kight.

A memorial service to celebrate Jim's life will be held at Enoch Cemetery on December 14, 2024, starting at 11:00 AM.

How much he loved my mother Darcie kight . who he they were married 42 short years until she passed in 2013.
he was the best dad he could be.
He will be missed everyday .

I just recently met James, but we come from the same community in Louisiana and knew the same people and really had a lot in common. I felt that we had started a great friendship, sadly cut short too soon. I'm going to miss him.
