News Death Notice
LAWSON, James "Jimmy" C. age 22 of Fairfield died Wednesday morning, June 15, 2011, due to an automobile accident. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 17, 1988, the son of Merle L. and Rebecca (Browning) Lawson. Jimmy worked at the Old Spaghetti Factory and was an assistant manager at Noces Pizza. Survivors include his Father, Merle Lawson of Fairfield; Mother, Becky Lawson of Hamilton; a Sister, Kelly Lawson of Lebanon; a Brother, Mike Lawson of Fairfield; a Grandmother, Barbara Bogan of Hamilton; an Aunt and Uncle, Judy and James Bowman of Hamilton; other relatives and many devoted friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday in the Zettler Funeral Home, 2646 Pleasant Ave. with Pastor Joel Morgan officiating, followed by burial in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held from 5-8:00 pm Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to Childrens Hospital Cardiology Department. Jimmy was a great person... He always knew how to make someone laugh; even when they didn't want to smile. I can't believe how quickly this happened; I just saw him about a month ago. It doesn't seem real; more like a bad dream.
I didn't know the family, but my thoughts and prayers are with you. I can't imagine losing someone so close and so young. He will truly be missed, but know he will always be watching over you smiling that wonderful bright smile that he always had!

I am so sorry for your loss. I was at the scene of the accident and was by your son's side (along with another gentleman) talking to him until help arrived. Your son was not alone. May God bless your and your family during this difficult time.

Merle and Mike, I am so very sorry for your loss of a special brother and son. I pray you to find some peace someday. Dear Becky and Family,
We can't begin to express how very sorry and saddened we are for the loss of Jimmy. We can only imagine the unbearable grief and pain you are feeling, and so wish we could comfort you in some small way during this terrible time. No parent should ever have to bury their child. This is such a tragic loss of a wonderful young man who was taken too soon. I remember him being very sweet and happy, and loved the stories I heard of your adventures in Florida. I pray that eventually time will be your friend, and fond memories will bring you some comfort and begin to replace some of your pain. We are with you in spirit and so wish we could be there in person. We are praying for you and love you very much.

I am so sorry for lost of your loved one.
My Wife also lost a Son; He was 26 years, He would have been 33 years old this year.
There is not a day goes by that we don’t miss Him.
But by the Grace of God we will see Him again and by the Grace of God we can make it.

I didn't know you very well but every time I saw you you treated me like a friend and I know the world is a better place because you were in it. I'm sorry to see you go and I wish you had more time here to spend with your family and everyone that loved you. I have never once heard a bad work spoken about you, you were truly an amazing person. I didn't know Jimmy as well as I wish I could've. But in the times I did share with him, he was a huge sweetheart, always laughing and joking. I know his close friends are hurting. He will be missed.

Jimmy was an amazing guy he always knew how to make everyone laugh. Never had a selfish bone in his body, even when he was having a bad day he made sure everyone was having a great day. I cant believe he is actually gone. He was my really good friend and i will love and miss him terribly.

Kristie Mrs. Lawson's AP study hall was one of the first memories that came to mind when i was thinking about Jimmy. We all had a blast in that class. I still can see that class room and everyone in it and also Jimmy's laugh in the back of the room after saying something sarcastic.
We all seem to let life pass us by and not realizing how much every day is truly a miracle to be graced with.

Dear Jimmy,
When I saw you over Christmas break last year, I never dreamt that it would be the last time I would ever see you.
My memories of Mrs. Lawson's AP Study Hall Class are some of my most treasured high school memories. I am sure Kayne and Alex both agree. I am a better person because I knew you.
