JAMES W. LEAR (Age 84)
On December 7, 2016, at INOVA Fairfax Hospital. Loving husband of Violet Lear; devoted father of David Lear and Michael Ann Beissner. He is also survived by his grandchildren, John Lear, Megan Beissner and Adam Beissner. A memorial visitation will be held at Demaine Funeral Home, 5308 Backlick Road, Springfield, VA 22151 on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the American Cancer Society. www.demainefunerals.com

Dear Violet and family, I went to school with buzzy and we dated in kramer jr. high for a short while. He was such a nice boy and i was so surprised that he wanted to date me. We went to the jr. high prom together. Perry drove us to the prom along with gladys schenker and her date Billy. I broke off with him, not wanting to get serious with him at that stage of my life. He then started dating Violet who i never met. I'm so glad he found her and had such a long life together with her. My name then was nancy moore and later became nancy grove. My husband carl was in the navy band there in D. C. When he retired, we moved to his home town of Elkhart, IN. I am now 85 and we had 5 children while still in the navy. Violet, So sorry to hear last night of Buzzy's death. It's been so long since we've seen you all...must have been family party at Betty Lou and Perry's after Doug and I got married in 1980. Still married at 36 years. We live in Arizona now. He looked so much like Daddy. Always thought he was so handsome. Love to you all at this difficult time!
