James Loew Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 1, 2008.
James W. Loew
James William Loew, 29, died Dec. 23, 2007, in San Francisco, Calif. Survivors include his parents, Sandra A. and James R. Loew, of Florence; his sister, Olive A. Loew, of San Francisco; his grandmothers, Pauline R. Weiss, of Youngstown, Ohio, and Teresa J. Walsh, of Waterford, Conn.; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandfathers, James D. Loew and William J. Walsh. Jimmy graduated from York High School in Yorktown, Va., and attained the rank of Eagle Scout with Troop 201 in Yorktown. He attended Virginia Commonwealth University and graduated from the University of North Alabama. Jimmy was generous, loving, creative and inspiring. He pursued life passionately, some might say desperately, but he truly loved life, his family and friends and was deeply loved in return. A memorial service and celebration of Jimmy's life will be Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008, at 1 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Ohlhoff Recovery Programs, 601 Steiner St., San Francisco, CA 94117 or at http://www.ohlhoff.org.

Mr. and Mrs. Loew,
I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear about your son's death. Although I did not know him personally, after spending time with both of you, I know he was a gifted and talented young man. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dearest Sandi,
I didn't know your son, but he had to be a delightful person because you were his mother. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I grieve with you for this untimely loss. I recently heard that the death of a young person is like a period in the middle of a sentence; it just doesn't make sense.
My sincere condolences to you and your family,

Chris Roberson

I just wanted to share my love for jimmy with you. He meant the world to me. I've known him for years and more recently was able to travel to california to spend some time with him. He told me I was his angel because I was always looking after him and checking up on him. He was in my heart and thoughts every single day and he will remain there always.

I am terribly sorry for what you are going through. Please know that if you need anything we are all here.

Jayme.
