I really miss talking to my dad. he always had encouraging words to say to all his children no matter what any of us were going through. His love was unconditional, and that is rare in people.

James, I miss talking to you. I've lost so much & so many loved ones. Our big family has left me as the only surviving sibling. My faithful, devoted husband, my Mother & Father, my sisters & now, ALL of my brothers.I know that God doesn't make mistakes, but, it is very lonely without all of you. It seems that God blessed me with a wonderful daughter, son-in-law & granddaughter.(Karen, Larry & Karina Leona Gilliam). I thank God for them. I've always tried to be there for everybody else in my family. I know that God will take care of me." Our parents taught us to always love one another & that blood is thicker than water." I will always remember those words & all of my family members. I am thankful for all who passed through my life. It has made me a stronger person. Thanks to our parents, I try to love unconditionally & without judgemet, with a forgiving heart. I miss all of you all.I have fond memories of following you up the path as you would leave to go to the store, telling you a list of what to bring back for me. We will all be together again someday. My granddaughter & I carry our mother: Leona's name. (The last of 10 siblings) Your Baby Sister: Claudia Leona Mabon-Tillery

I think about Dad every day.The degree of comfort I give family members and myself is the fact that he was a righteous man.He and my sister Pat are both canidates for a second chance at life.[ressurrection]So,if we do what wer'e suppose to do,we will see them again.I think about the good times.I try to encourage my family to be strong. There are so many thoughts of Dad and Pat that brings a smile to my face. There are also times that the pain become so great that I break down and cry.As the oldest Son it is my duty to encourage and upbuild everyone else.Dad and Pat are truly missed.

To the Mabon Family,
I truly loved and miss my Dad. I have never known a more loving family man. I am so thankful you were able to see all your children the way you wanted them to be. You and Ma did a fine job of showing strong love for the family and everyone else you met. You will be missed and we look foward to the resurrection promised at John 5:28,29.

Poppa, although you are no longer here in the flesh (and I can no longer lean over and kiss you on your forehead as I loved to do) you will be in our hearts forever. I will miss the way you called me “Ms. Ann”.
You were always a very gentle and loving man. You made sure that each of your kids looked out for one another and never allowed us to fight, which is evident in our closeness. You instilled in us that family is very important and did an excellent job along with our mommy at raising 9 children. As I have always said, I thank you for marrying such a wonderful woman and I thank Mom for marrying such a wonderful man.
God bless our family and help us to remain strong because that is how Daddy would want us to be . . . .
Love,
Joyce

Granddaddy ~
You will be missed in the difficult days to come. Although it hurts so bad to lose you, I know we are truly blessed to have had you in our lives for so long and each precious memory of you will help to ease our pain. I thank God for every second we shared, from us watching Jeopardy together, to hearing the detailed stories of your childhood, to you walking me to the door following my visit, where you would smile and tell me, “ABC . . . Always Be Careful” as you watched to make sure I safely made it to my car. You were always so thoughtful, protective, loving, and humorous. Who would imagine that even at this difficult time, I would be able to smile and even laugh by thinking of the jokes you used to tell? I find my greatest comfort in the way you never hesitated to let me know how proud you were of me and Ricky and how you appreciated me for always stopping by to check on you and Grandma . . . . You can rest peacefully knowing that I will continue to make you proud; I will do my best along with the rest of the family to comfort Grandma; and I will always allow your memory live on –
I love you Granddad and I always will!
Love,
Angie
