James J. Malone Sr. passed away peacefully on January 23, 2023, age 94. Beloved husband of Patricia (nee Burke) of 70 years; loving father of Kathleen (Dave) Cetera, Mary (George) Arquette, James Jr (Joan) Malone, and Kelley Malone; cherished grandfather of Eileen, Kevin, Maureen, Meghan, Joseph, Keith, Ashley, Amanda, Bridget: step-grandfather of Kraig, Kari, and Kristin; great grandfather of Felix, Sylvie, and Rylan James; step great-grandfather of Eva, Lilah, Max, Fiona, Reid, Quinn, and Beau; preceded in death by his parents Myrtle Cecilia and Charles F. Malone Sr., and his daughter Eileen Marie Malone; devoted brother of the late Marion Grogan and Charles F Malone Jr.; devoted brother-in-law and fond uncle to many. James was a proud graduate of Leo High School and a dedicated employee of the Rock Island Railroad where he worked for 38 years. James was devoted to his wife and family, he made a lasting impression on those lives he touched. His presence will be greatly missed, but the memories will be everlasting. Memorial visitation will be held Saturday February 18th at 9 A.M. until the time of Funeral Mass 10:00 A.M. at St. George Church, 6707 W. 175th St. Tinley Park, IL 60477. Interment Private at Good Shepherd Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Lawn Funeral Home (708) 429-3200

My deepest and most sincere condolences go out to the Entire Malone and extended family. He was such a happy and friendly soul. To say what a true family man he was seems inadequate.

May you all keep your cherished memories close to your heart and his memory will live on forever. He left a fabulous legacy. Prayers being said
