On Dec. 23, 2016, formerly of Manayunk of Cape May, NJ. Jim was a veteran of the US Navy and US Army. He was retired supervisor from Septa with 25 yrs. of service. Jim loved fishing and gardening. Husband of Eileen (nee Speckler) McDermott; beloved father of James, David, Michael, Joseph and Karen; cherished grand-father of Jimmy, Crystal, Sean, Cailin, Kevin, Joshua and 4 great-grandchildren; brother of Isabelle, Dave and Joan; will be missed by nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends Thursday Jan. 12, 2017 10 A.M. followed by his Funeral Service 11 A.M. at the CLARE MCILVAINE MUNDY FUNERAL HOME,INC. 7384 Ridge Ave. (cor.Wigard Ave.) Phila 19128. Int. Private. Please omit flowers. Donations in Jim's name maybe sent to the Cape May County Zoo, PO BOX 864, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
