James Muhl Obituary
Memorial service: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Fort Worth.
Memorials: St. Bartholomew Catholic Church or Community Hospice of Texas.
James Muhl was born Nov. 21, 1918, in Waco and attended Texas A&M University. He served in the Army during World War II and was a member of the 36th Division and Army Air Corps. He retired from the Air Force in 1961.
James worked at St. Vincent de Paul Society for six years, volunteered at St. Joseph's Hospital for four years and worked for Meals on Wheels for four years.
Survivors: Wife, Ardeth Wick Muhl; children, Beverly Clair George and husband, Dan, of Fort Worth, Rene Marie Muhl of Fort Worth and James Howard Muhl Jr. of Atlanta, Ga.; grandchildren, Christopher and Preston George of Fort Worth and Charlotte Kemp Muhl of New York.

Words cannot express my thoughts of Jim Muhl. He was my neighbor for 20 years and provided such warmth and kindness and patience. I doubt if a military man would like the term, but Jim Muhl was a "sweet person." He was always available to assist and support any of his neighbors with his skills and encouragement. How blessed each of us who knew Jim Muhl have been. My sincere condolences to Ardeth and her family. I praise God for the life of Jim Muhl. In His love,
