So so sorry for your loss. Strange I was thinking about him last week...didn't know he passed. I worked with your Dad for many years as his Court Stenographer in Tom's River and Atlantic City Workers' Comp. Many many great memories I hold. God bless.

Condolences to James, Colleen and Malfalda on the passing of Jimmy. I am Kathy Cusack Scaglione's husband. My wife and her sister, Patty Ann, are first cousins of Jimmy with Jimmy's Mom Katherine and their father Patrick being sister and brother. Kathy and Patty Ann loved Jimmy; they often talked of his movie star looks and Marine Corps and Newark Police background growing up in Newark and being so admired by every girl and guy in the neighborhood. I am a retired member of the law enforcement community in the NJ and NY; I can tell you that throughout my career whenever I mentioned Jimmy O'Connell it was met with such respect by officers, prosecutors, lawyers, judges and just about anyone who knew Jimmy. Men like Jimmy come around once in a lifetime-a combatant Marine, an honored Newark Police Officer, an accomplished lawyer and most knowledgeable jurist and a True Patriot. May Jimmy rest in peace-he has earned that right many times over. I am content in knowing that my Kathy will now have her big cousin up there to look over her. Sincerely, Dom Scaglione
