He was the son of the late James Orthmeyer and the late Ruth (Moore) Orthmeyer.

A memorial service will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the Alice Drive Baptist Church with the Rev. Kevin Buynak officiating.
Burial will be held in the spring at a later date in the Woodland Cemetery in Ironton, OH.
Online condolences may be sent to ecsfuneralhome.com and for date and time of the service scheduled in the spring.
Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home & Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
