James David Pacheco

It is with great sadness that James David Pacheco known to many as "Jimmy the Greek" passed away in Amarillo Texas on 11/14/2022. James was struggling with many health issues, but he continued to fight the best he could to the end. James was a lifelong resident of Tucumcari New Mexico where he was a talented autobody technician and painter. Early in his life he had a passion for art, traveling, car restoration and low rider cars. He is survived by his father Domingo Gilbert Pacheco of Tucumcari and brothers and sisters, Mike Pacheco, Bennie Lopez, Richard Pacheco, Larry Pacheco, Gilbert Pacheco, Georgia Franco, and Andrea Pacheco, as well as his daughters Larissa Anaya of Tucumcari and Jane Pacheco from Greely Colorado. He is preceded in death by his mother Viola Pacheco who he loved dearly, his sister Cathy Martinez, his great grandparents who raised him, Felipa and Segundo Garcia all from Tucumcari. For the last several years and during his struggles with health issues, he was loved and cared for by Martha Pena who lost her partner and best friend and will miss him dearly. There will be a private burial in Tucumcari at a date to be determined.
