James Asa Puckett Jr.

James Asa Puckett, Jr., born to Dr. James Asa Puckett Sr. and Edna Nicholson Puckett in Louisville, KY on April 7, 1957 entered into eternity on January 2, 2013 at his home surrounded by friends and loved ones in Princeton, TX. Jim graduated from Harlandale High School in San Antonio, TX. He then graduated Baylor University in 1981 with a BA in English and Journalism. Jim also attended Southwestern Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, TX. He taught at Carter Riverside High School in Ft. Worth, TX. Jim was preceded in death by his Father, Dr. James Asa Puckett, Sr., and his first born granddaughter Lilly-Maih Callaway. Jim is survived by his mother, Edna Nicholson Puckett of McKinney, TX, sister Carole Puckett Lockwood of San Antonio, TX, brother Timothy Puckett of Allen, TX, wife Karen Puckett of Princeton, TX, sons Sgt. Jeremy S. Callaway US Army of Ft. Campbell, KY, Sgt. Jonathan L. Callaway USMC of Quantico, VA, and Jacob Callaway of Princeton, TX, and granddaughters Taylee and Raelyn Callaway of Ft. Campbell, KY. The family will receive visitors from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2012 at Faith Baptist Church in Princeton. A funeral service will immediately follow at the church at 1:00 p.m. Following the service, burial will be at Princeton Cemetery.
