Dear Uncle if you are reading this ( and if I know you well enough you are probably up there looking up jokes on the computer ) I will miss you dearly and you were a very good uncle to me and.. I understand how much my grandfather and mother and everyone misses you so much, you have to know how much we all miss you and will miss you in this world.
There is a quote and I think many people can relate---
Where you used to be,there is a whole in the world, which I find myself constently walking around in daytime and falling into at night. We miss you!!
R.I.P Uncle
With love, Madison Pulford
I'll love you forever more and please wherever you are have fun and enjoy yourself :-)

Mark,
I'm so sorry to learn of your dad's passing. My perception of him (from a lifetime ago) was that of a very intelligent, artistic man and supportive father. I'm sure you'll miss him. I'll keep you in my thoughts...

Mark and Erin, My heart is heavy with the passing of your dad. He and I worked together at Fisher Scientic for over 30 years. He was my mentor,my boss, but most of all,
my friend. Our birthdays were only 1 week apart and I used to call him the 'old man'. We helped each other through good times and bad. He is the one that got me into Human Resources, which enabled me to enjoy a very good life. We also had names for each other......I was Stan and he was Ollie (the old comedy team). The BEST friend I ever had !!
Hope to see you on the other side Jim. Tony

Mark and Erin,
I am so sorry for the loss of your dad. He was a very special and wonderful man. My mom and dad, Tom and Bernie Haverty were friends with you parents for many years. Your dad helped me get my job at Fisher Scientific and for that I am truly greatful. He had a great smile and a wonderful laugh. I think one of the best times that I had with him was when we visited the cottage in Somerset and my mom fell in a mud puddle. Your dad laughed so hard and was gracious enough to give my mom a pair of pants to wear home. He was the best!! May you know that he is resting in heaven with your Aunt Kathleen and having the time of his life. You have a special guardian angel watching over you. May God bless you both.

I am posting this on behalf of my German brother, Marcus:
James E. Pulford
† 25th of April 2008
Soon we will come to the end of life’s journey,
and perhaps never meet anymore,
till we gather in the heaven’s bright city,
far away on that beautiful shore.
If we never meet again this side of Heaven,
as we struggle thru this world and its strife,
there’s another meeting place somewhere in heaven,
by the side of the river of life.
Where the charming roses blom forever,
and where seperations come no more,
if we never meet again this side of Heaven,
I will meet you on the beautiful shore.
Fondly Marcus, Gabi, Nadja, Felix and Lilli Marie

mark, i am very sorry to hear about the passing of your father. i knew him for a short time quite a long time ago. he seemed larger than life to me then. it is never easy to lose someone. my daughter always says that the person who is not physically with you anymore always lives in your heart. i am sure he is there for you indeed. you are in my thoughts as you grieve. be well.

To Jimmy's family,
He was one of the nicest teenagers ever and to my dismay, we lost contact when I got married. He, Carolyn, Brynner, Roy, Shelton, a few others and myself used to get together at someone's house, mostly his, and talk, laugh, listen to music, and do the normal things high school kids do. He and I also went to BTC for one year. He was a really good friend and I loved him like a brother. So sorry to hear about his passing. I am sure he was a great father as he was a great young man.

I was a MHS grad with Jim. He was a very fine classmate as evidenced by the fact he was Student Council President. I also remember having a public speaking class with him and recall him being in school plays. My sympathy to the family.

My deepest sympathy to the Pulford family. I had the pleasure of knowing Jim, we worked on the same floor at the City County building. Jim always had a smile and a kind word he was a blessing. May God bless you and keep you during this difficult time. Cherish the memories.

Uncle Jim, as you know, you are one of my favorite people that I have ever met in my life, and I love you more than most anyone in the whole World. If the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, I am equidistant between you and my own Dad, as you have always been nothing less than another Dad to me. You confirm what I have come to realize since the passing of your dear friend Betty, my Mum, earlier this month, that the quality of life is surely measured by how much fun you had, how much you laughed, and how much you were loved. In that regard, you are one of the richest people I have ever known.

I just learned about Jim's death through Pat McGreevy who also told me of the death of Betty Ferguson, both an essential part of the Kimmel Lane gang. I remember many gatherings at the Pulford cottage in good weather and bad. Mark and Erin, my prayers are with you ... cherish your memories - I know there are many of them.

I was very sad to hear that my Friend Jim has passed away. We did so much together seems like it was a lifetime ago. We went to University of Pittsburgh together, worked together for years, did plays together at McKeesport Little theater and we drank a "little." I will always remember Jim and the good times we had. My deepest sympathy to his family.
Thanks Jim for being my good friend.

My heartfelt sympathy to Mark and Erin. I worked with your dad for many, many years at FSCo. and he always held a special place in my heart. I am so saddened by his passing, but I will always remember the wonderful times we shared. His famous saying was "better days are coming". For him, they have! May he rest in peace.

Jim was such a special guy, always reaching out to others and including them in the fun! He made me, and I am sure many others, feel important.
I am so glad I got to see and chat with him at Betty's funeral. The consolation is that he is now at peace. My heartfelt condolences go out to Mark and Erin.

Dear Jack & family,
Jimmy and I used to e mail each other with glad thing, sad things and just plain things. I was always asking him how he was feeling and he would always say I am just thankful to be here. He always had a special place in my heart and I will miss him. You all are in my prayers and now Jimmy will be watching over us and I am happy with that thought. He will be raising his next glass on St. Pat's day with his darling Kathleen...
Love to all of you and my deepest sympathy, Lorraine

My dearest friend, I miss you so terribly. You were always a ray of Irish sunshine in my life. I will miss watching our story together over lunch and our social outings. I know you are in a better place looking down on all of us, free from the body that had trapped you. I imagine you smiling, your infectious laughter, reminding us that you just can't make this stuff up. Our neighborhood will never be the same without you. Your love, friendship, advice, unwavering support, and that incredible optimism will not be forgotten. You were simply the most wonderful friend ever.

-I've learned the importance of having thick skin through it all.
-I've learned how to endure tragedy with dignity.
-I've learned how to believe in myself, regardless of how it seems.
-I've learned to cherish it now, as time really does fly.
-I've learned that no one is perfect.
-I've learned the beauty of friendship.
-I've learned that crying often does not make a person weak.
-I've learned the power of a hug... and a smile.
-I've learned how special it really is to be Irish.
-I've learned that being unique is a rare quality in the real world.
-I've learned the true power of the written word.
-I've learned that one tall, blonde, goofy boy from Germany can provide a lifetime of memories.
-I've learned the power of being independent.
-I've learned the importance of looking at yourself in the mirror.
-I've learned to master straightening pictures on the wall.
-I've learned that life is really just a movie.
-I've learned the true meaning of the Irish Blessing.
-I've learned that he really did paint beautiful pictures.
-I've learned that forgiveness is key.
-I've learned who I am and who I strive to be.
I've learned so much from my father and will never forget his many lessons of life. His legacy will live on through every person who learned a thing or two during the journey with this man. He will never be forgotten. He was an unbelievable man...he was my father, my friend, and my mentor.
