James Howard "Jim" Rhyne

James Howard "Jim" Rhyne, 66, of Aberdeen, formerly of Clayton, died Monday afternoon. Born July 23, 1934 in La Fayette, GA, he was a son of the late Julian Theodore and Jessie Morton Rhyne and was preceded in death by a brother, Morton Rhyne. Jim was a Captain in the US Air Force from 1952 - 1956 and had also served as a pilot with Air America for 12 years in Southeast Asia. For the last 20 years he was working with Aero Contractor, LTD at the Johnston County Airport.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma. Burialwill follow in Sunset Memorial Park in Smithfield.
Surviving are his wife, Jearanai E. ""Jeed'' Rhyne; son, Timothy N. ""Tim'' Rhyne of Enterprise, AL; stepson, Thangwuth Israngkul of Thailand; daughter, Christine Lee Rhyne of Apex; a brother, William Rhyne of La Fayette, GA and two grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 - 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
