James Rio Obituary
Jim was known for his great sense of humor and his collection of corny jokes. He loved to cook, was a Cubs fan and loved Chicago.
He served in the Navy and was proud of his military association. He will be interned at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois on December 8, 2023, at 11:00 a.m.
May he rest in peace. He will be missed by many.

It was always a fun time when Uncle Buddy was around. He loved telling jokes, and they were either funny or we would roll our eyes and groan. What a wonderful human being. He will be remembered.

Jimmy was always kind toward us (Tom and Terry Chaves). A few years ago, he made eggplant parmesan for us. We were told he got up early that day and spent all day preparing the eggplant and sauce. It was delicious; the best I ever had!

So thankful for the time my family and I were able to spend with you, your Dad, and Brandon. Jim was such an awesome man. I loved his sense of humor. You and I will have to get together and remake the Pistelli (peas and pasta) in honor of our guys! Love you, Diana!
