James David Rogers, age 83, died on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 in Austin, TX. Jim was a Houston resident for nearly 30 years. His life will be celebrated on July, 22, 2:00-3:00PM at Parsons House Assisted Living Community, 1130 Camino La Costa, Austin, TX, 78752. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston – Meals on Wheels (imgh.org) or Austin Pets Alive (austinpetsalive.org).

Uncle Jim was indeed one of a kind who will truly be missed. The Rogers always had a great sense of humor and Uncle Jim lead the bunch with his. He always kept us laughing and was just a good man. Big hug to my cousin's Joni, Suzanne and David. I wished we could attend the memorial and be there with you all, but know we will be thinking of you and praying for your strength and comfort. Love you all!
