James Ryals Obituary
Brandon - James ("Jim") Clifton Ryals, age 77 of Brandon, MS passed away on June 15, 2018. Jim was a graduate of Columbia High School in Columbia, MS and spent his career at First Mississippi National Bank and auto sales at Fowler Buick GMC. He enjoyed cooking, especially grilling for a crowd and loved watching Ole Miss Rebel football and spending time with family and friends. In his later years he also enjoyed going to the MS Gulf Coast.
He is survived by his wife, Essie ("Sassy") Ryals; his daughters Samara ("Sam") Ryals Traylor (Devy) and Sirrinthia Lynn Ryals; two grandsons (John and Thomas Traylor); step children Keith Clair and Mike Clair (Jerri); and three step grandchildren (Sarah Clair Martin, Matt Clair and Kat Clair). He is preceded in death by his parents, Jabus Carolinas Ryals and Verlie Morris Ryals.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 23, at St. Peters by The Lake in Brandon, MS. The family will receive friends at 10:00 AM until time of the memorial service at 11:00 AM. Following the service for Jim there will be a reception at St. Peters. All are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org/ww/donate/donate-to-st-jude.html?sc_icid=header-btn-donate-now).
