Thanks to everyone who sends us thoughts and prayers. Grandpa meant so much to everyone, he will be greatly missed. Below is a poem I wrote for him.
Grandpa (written by Jennifer Landburg)

Although you left this Earth
Your spirit still remains
You are now with God and Grandma
Free from harm and pain

My heart aches so dearly
I will miss you oh so much
Though it won’t be very long
Until again I feel your touch

I will always remember
The fun things you would invent
To keep us grandkids entertained
Things that grandma would resent

You were great at everything you did
Hunting, golfing, and bowling
But the best thing you were great at
Was a Grandpa so endearing

You were always like a giant to me
So tall and so strong led
I remember everywhere you went
You’d always bump your head

I’ll never forget the tractor rides
Or the times you took me fishing
Your world famous bean dip
On my plate I would be dishing

You were like no other Grandpa
For years the only one I’ve known
Although not very outspoken
Your love was always shown

You raised a wonderful family
All of different ranks
We shared our love with you one last time
On the day that we give thanks

Please give my love to Grandma
Tell her I miss her so
Enjoy the beautiful Heavens
That our God has promised us so

You will always be remembered
By many family and friends
Whom will soon reunite with you in Heaven
As our Lord and Savior intends
