I miss my association with Jim both in working with him and interacting with him on the golf course. My wife and I have good memories of times we spent with Jim and Nancy, and we miss them greatly.

IT DOESN'T SEEM POSSIBLE THAT JIM HAS BEEN GONE 3 YEARS. SHORTLY BEFORE HE PASSED AWAY, HE AND I MET AT THE DEW CHILLI PARLOR ON SOUTH 5TH STREET IN SPRINGFIELD. WE SAT AND TALKED ABOUT OLD TIMES, BOTH AT WORK AND ON THE GOLF COURSE, UNTIL THEY CHASED US OUT WHEN THEY CLOSED AT 3:00. I CHERISH MY REMEMBRANCE OF THAT LAST CONVERSATION. WE WERE IN KENTUCKY VISITING FAMILY WHEN WE RECEIVED WORD OF HIS DEATH. NEEDLESS TO SAY, IT WAS A SHOCK. I LOST A VERY CLOSE AND DEAR COWORKER AND FRIEND THAT DAY. MY WIFE AND I BOTH MISS JIM AND NANCY VERY MUCH. I AM ENCOURAGED BY THE THOUGHT THAT I WILL SEE THEM BOTH SOMEDAY AROUND GOD'S GOLDEN THRONE.

I knew Jim for most of our friendship and working relationship over the phone regarding Computer Banc referrals. I met him in person at a Computer Banc fund raiser and did not speak with him face-to-face until he was in rehab following aggressive cancer treatment. He and I kept in touch for quite some time. Most recently, he called to ask me about becoming a member of the Computer Banc board. I will consider it now, more than ever.

Jim and Nancy were both wonderful people. I only wish I could have known them better and longer. My wife and I miss them both. Springfield has lost a great man.

So sorry to learn of Jim's passing. My wife, Deanne, & I enjoyed our personal relationship with Jim & Nancy. I cherish the memories I have of working with Jim in the City Purchasing Office. We shared a lot of laughs both inside & away from the office. May it comfort you to know that he is reunited with his Nancy & is in the presence of God. He has been through a lot, but always managed to keep his upbeat spirit. We will miss him.
