SPARROW, James Ernest May 7, 1932 - April 5, 2008 It is with great sadness the family announces the death of Jim in San Jose, Costa Rica. Jim passed away following complications from heart surgery. Left to mourn his loss and cherish his memory are his son Curtis, daughter Shelley and her husband Kevin Bolton, and the mother of his children, Grace. Jim will also be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his five grandchildren, Blake, Jessica and Blair Bolton, Sean and Caitlin Sparrow and great-granddaughter Luca Shepherd. He is also survived by his brothers: Robert (Norma), Murrey (Jenine) and sister-in-law Lucille along with many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends including his companion Star Cunningham and her family. Jim was predeceased by his parents, Ernest and Marie, and his brother Donald. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Hainstock's Funeral Home, 9810 - 34 Avenue, Edmonton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Petroleum Discovery Centre, #6 - 20 Haven Avenue, Devon, Alberta T9G 2B9 in memory of Jim Sparrow.
