James L. Stancell
Pickens, SC
James Lee “Son” Stancell, 82, of Cove Creek Road, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2014.
Born in Pickens County, he was the son of the late Larry and Josie Holcombe Stancell.
Mr. Stancell was retired from Stone Manufacturing and was a Baptist.
Surviving are his children, Harold Stancell (Carolyn) of Greenville, Michael Stancell and Linda Stancell; two grandchildren, Matt Stancell (Heather) and Allison Joy (John); three great grandchildren, Braxton Stancell, Alyssa Joy and Kaylee Joy; a sister, Alline Gilstrap; and a brother, Willie Stancell.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Stancell was predeceased by a sister, Christine Childress and a brother, Ferbert Stancell.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 from 2:30 PM until 3:30 PM at Dillard Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow at 4:00 PM in the funeral home chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 4124 Clemson Blvd., Suite L, Anderson, SC 29621.
