James Robert Stevens was born May 1, 1955, in Lakewood, Ohio. He was the only son of Robert and Catherine Stevens and the youngest of 4 siblings. He graduated from Bay High School in 1973 located in Bay Village, Ohio. He graduated from Lorain Community College where he earned an associate degree in Police Science. He worked as a security officer for Halle's Department Stores in Cleveland, Ohio where he met his wife, Donna. They were married on March 24, 1979. They have 2 sons, Jeff and Cory.

Jim worked for AT&T for more than 20 years. At retirement he was working for Citizens Bank as a Manager at the Call Center in Pittsburgh, PA.

Jim's greatest love was riding roller coasters and was a member of American Coaster Enthusiasts. He also loved sports of all kinds and was a lifelong fan of the Cleveland Browns and the Cleveland Guardians.

Jim made his transition on July 1, 2024. He leaves behind his wife Donna, his sons Jeff (Katie) and Cory (Emeli), and his grandson Connor.

Please join us celebrating his life Sunday, August 11, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Unity North Tampa Church, 19520 Holly Lane, Lutz, FL 33558. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Unity North Tampa.

I was sorry to hear of Jim's passing. Jim was a childhood friend back in Bay Village. We played sandlot ball, did the sleep over bits. I have fond memories. My prayer is his soul is at God's side and his family's broken hearts are in Gods healing hands.

I didn't know Jim for very long but he was a real gentleman. I went to the movies with he and Donna (where he paid the bill) and I remember how polite and sociable he was.
