Sorry to hear this news. James & I were co-workers at Resorts Casino back in the 80's. I had some of the greatest laughs in my life with this Brother. We had this ongoing joke about a casino bus patron entering the casino through the bus entrance loudly calling out winning numbers from a contest he was in hoping to be a lucky winner. After he called out his numbers I yelled out "H I K E!" (referring to a football call) James and I almost fell on the floor laughing! Ever since that day all these years later..whenever we would run into each other the first thing we would say would be "HIKE!" and crack up! I give my sincere condolences to the family. God has welcomed Brother James into his arms of Glory. Rest easy my friend...

I have so many fond memories with Jimmy. So many laughs and good times at Resorts in Security. We went on a double-date in Atlantic City in 1985...we tried so hard to impress the young ladies we escorted. Everything was going wrong, but we had a wonderful time (laughed so hard), and talked about it for years. Condolences to the family. I'm proud to call Jimmy my friend, I will truly miss him.

My sincerest condolences to the Surles family. James was a gentle giant and very respectable. He always had a smile on his face and never hesitated in helping others. He gravitated towards people and always had a kind word for anyone. He left a lasting impression in my life. James is now reunited with his loved ones. RIP
