James Tidwell Obituary

James "Keith" Tidwell passed away on February 1, 2024. He was 75 years old. Keith was born on February 17, 1948, in Fort Worth, TX to J.S. and Elizabeth Tidwell. He was a proud alumnus of Paschal High School Class of '66 and went to the University of Texas at Austin where he was a member of the Beta Theta Pi Fraternity. After college, Keith went to work for the Tandy Corporation in Dealer Franchise Operations for Radio Shack. While on a regional business trip to Boston, Keith met Sylvia Smith. The two were married on March 17, 1979, and had three children. He was a loving father who was active in his kids' lives through coaching, booster club, camping, fishing, hunting, and road trips.

Keith is preceded in death by his father J.S. Tidwell and mother Elizabeth Tidwell. He is survived by his wife Sylvia Tidwell, son Travis Tidwell and his wife Laura, son Matthew Tidwell and his wife Jessica Ellis, daughter Alyson Watson and her husband Matt Watson, and grandchildren Audrey Tidwell, Grayson Tidwell, Carter Watson, Emma Watson, and Jack Ellis-Tidwell. The family would like to thank Keith's team of doctors, Dr. Johnson, Dr. Katzen, Dr. Timaran and UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Keith and I attended Paschal High School together, and were neighbors for over 20 years. He was a good person and surely be missed. Our prayers go out for Sylvia and her family. Dwane and Deborah Simmons.
