I am saddened to read of Jim´s passing. I extend my deepest condolences to his wife, son, and sisters.
I got to know Jim in the seventies at Sandia Savings during my early years under the employ of his Dad. "Jimbo"
Worked with us downtown during his college breaks and was a joy to work with. As a young man he demonstrated a great work ethic and was very respectful to others. He was always eager to learn and completed his tasks like a pro.
Jimbo had a fun sense of humor and shared countless clean jokes with me during our many lunches together. We would walk to all the good lunch places together almost every day. I have the fondest of memories walking to lunch with that lanky and tall young man!
Everyone eventually goes there own way in careers but I kept track of Jim as he grew in his business and family career, with our occasional phone conversations.
I will always cherish my memories of Jim and having known his sisters.

My name is Kent McDonald, and Jim was my next door neighbor in Parkland Hills. He was the enthusiastic, youngest son in a house of four women. He had a second sense in judging the social pulse of those around him, and it is no surprise that he rose to the heights that he did. He was always generous and serving. He will be missed!

I met Jim back in 1992 when I applied for a position at Union Savings Bank. Jim was on the board of directors and I think he liked to pull for the underdog and likely talked the others on the board into giving me a chance. He supported me throughout my career and introduced me into many circles that I'd have otherwise not had the opportunity to engage in. He was a fun guy, full of energy, and was always willing to help anyone that needed it. I always knew that if I needed something, he'd have a solution and would be willing to assist. We sat in many board meetings and I think he liked managing the players and personalities as much as he did the big commercial real estate deals. Jim, you were one of kind and will be missed.
