Tuite, James J. on February 11, 2012 of Ridge, LI. Formerly of Dix Hills, LI. Beloved husband of the late Margaret. Loving father of James III (Linda), Virginia Roth (Ronald), Robert (Marita), Kevin (Insuk) and the late John. Cherished grandfather of Jennifer Wolf, Amy & Steven Kelly, James IV & Lori Tuite, John & Molly Tuite, Mark & Nicole Tuite, Michael Tuite, the late Brian Roth and survived by his wife Lynn, Debbie & Steven Schwartz, Diane & Kevin Sigler, Steven & Jessica Roth, the late Robert Tuite, Kelly Tuite, nicole Tuite and Jessica Tuite. Adored great grandfather of 27 and great great grandfather of 1. Jim is a former Sports Editor for the NY Times and a freelance writer for Newsday as well as other local newspapers. Reposing O.B. Davis Funeral Homes, 1001 Route 25A, Miller Place, LI. Visitation Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass Tuesday 10 AM at St. Mark's R.C. Church, Shoreham, LI. Interment Calverton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Long Island Chapter, 3281 Veterans Memorial Highway, Suite E-13, Ronkonkoma, NY 11779.
